So lets tell you a little more about us...
My great passions in life are Photography, Music. and Radio. I pretty much got 'music & radio' out of my system, after spending years as a professional "International" club DJ. I worked in Belgium, Germany, Austria and even Reykjavic, Iceland! This was followed by 16 years 'on-air' as a DJ and Programme Controller with Radio Wyvern.
Born in Stourport-on-Severn. I studied 'Photography in Art' at school and began taking photography seriously around 1983. My mentor was Peter Tilsley (Former Chairman of Pershore Camera Club) - a great photographer and a great friend too. Whilst on the Radio I undertook a good deal of portrait & PR photography - and a few weddings!
In September '98 I launched Sammy Southall Photography full-time and the business has grown at an incredible rate year after year. I quickly became a fully qualified member of "the MPA" Master Photographers Association and the "SWPP" The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, we are listed with many fine directories including the UK Wedding Directory. I have covered hundreds of wedding, PR, makeover and portrait shoots. I work from my profesionally equipped studio at my home in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, where I've lived for over 20 years. I always strive to offer the best job I can do - with top quality at a fair price. Giving good value is very important to me.
I love my photography and am passionate about Weddings, Portraits and Makeovers. Each year I try and get away for a personal photo-break having taken in Egypt, Prague, Thailand and Goa recently - all are highly recommended! On Weddings and some PR and commercial jobs I often work with a second photographer, this is Jane my partner a lovely wedding photographer and our studio manager. Working with a second photographer particularly on weddings, together we are able to capture so many more of your special moments
The vast majority of our work consists of weddings, portraits, makeovers and PR, but we also do headshots for actors and singers as well as sensual boudouir photography ( For His Eyes Only ) & "Trash the Dress" after the wedding shoots.
